Welcome to the OSC LaunchPad! The LaunchPad is an outreach of Our Savior’s Church. We hope you’ll join us for our FREE open play (T/Th 10:00 – 11:30), Sunday service at 8:00 or 10:30, or another one of our fun events for children under 5. All are welcome!
Our Savior's Christian School
Since 1956, Our Savior’s has operated an elementary school as a focused mission to reach children and families with the Gospel. Serving children in preschool (full day option) through eighth grade, Our Savior’s Lutheran School offers a Christ-centered program of academic excellence where each student is cherished as a child of God and challenged to do his or her best to the glory of God and in service to others.
Children and Youth Ministries
Our Savior’s Church has a long history of drawing children into the loving arms of Jesus. This mission was reaffirmed in Our Savior’s recently adopted vision statement, Our Savior’s Church seeks to be a congregation that ministers to the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of families, children and youth within our congregation and within the surrounding community.
SUNDAY MORNING NURSERY
To minister love to little ones and their families. We provide a safe and caring place for children to enjoy while their parents are free to fully participate in worship & hearing God's Word.
BLAST OFF CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
Offered every Sunday morning from 9:30-10:30 to children, ages three-sixth grade. This ministry of Christian education is designed to lead children into a loving relationship with Jesus and to apply Biblical truths to everyday living. A typical Blast Off experience includes a Bible story, engaging activities, and small group discussion and prayer.
FIRST COMMUNION CLASS
To prepare children to receive their first communion. The Sacrament of the Lord's Supper is a special gift of grace and spiritual nourishment from our Heavenly Father. The apostle Paul stressed that this sacrament is to be given only to those who recognize the significance and power in the Body and Blood of Christ. Our Savior's Church provides Communion Preparation Classes for children in Fourth Grade and up. Classes are taught for five consecutive Sundays during the Sunday School hour during Lent. These children will then receive their First Communion together with their family on Maundy Thursday evening.
ROCK SOLID FAITH FORMATION
Rock Solid Faith Formation is our two year instructional program directed toward Junior High Youth (7th and 8th graders) providing instruction in Lutheran doctrine and designed to draw each student closer to Jesus as equipped and empowered by the Holy Spirit.

THRIVE STUDENT MINISTRIES (6th-12th Grade)
Thrive Student Ministries is our youth ministry designed especially for middle school and high school students! Our desire is to see our students choose to follow Jesus! So often, students continue to just go to church out of compulsion and tradition. We want to strip all of that away and encourage our students to seek God and choose. He calls to them as an individual and asks us as individuals to join the Body of Christ. We meet every Thursday night from 6:30pm-8:30pm in the Youth Room. The youth room is open at 3:15 on Thursdays during the school year.
Thrive College meets at various times and places in the Capital District. This new ministry was started to meet the needs of our maturing students and give them something that is unique for the college experience. We want to gather together for fellowship, challenge one another to draw closer to Jesus through the Word, prayer and worship, and ignite a passion for our campuses, friends and families.
